College Coach Interest:
We don't promote our tournaments as "showcase" events so that you expect to see college coaches everywhere.  Our goal is to provide you with an exciting, competitive tournament that will challenge your team's abilities.   However, in 2006, we are working harder to make our events easier for college coaches to scout.  If you are a college coach, be sure to let us know you're coming to the tournament and we will work with you on schedules and accommodations.

If you'd like to make your team's information available to any college coaches who attend, send us an email to receive our college coach's information sheet.  
Here's what you do:  email Butch Tiller at info@softballnation.com  to receive a College Coach's information sheet.  In the subject area, indicate college coach's info sheet.  This sheet will be emailed back to you in a Word Document.  You fill out your team's information, email it back to us,  and that information will be passed on to any college coaches interested in receiving it.  

Tournament Entry Policy: Teams with questions should contact Butch Tiller at 804-378-2285. All Entry Fees must be sent in advance unless prior approval is made by SoftballNation. The Official Entry Deadline is two weeks before the tournament. Any request for entry after the deadline is not guaranteed and will only be accepted on a space-available basis.

Withdrawal Policy: Any team that withdraws from a tournament after the entry deadline is still obligated for the entry fee. Failure to pay an entry fee upon withdrawing after the entry deadline will result in the team’s immediate suspension from play with SoftballNation and other associations will be notified. NO SHOWS who fail to pay the entry fee will be immediately suspended and assessed a $100 fine in addition to the tournament entry fee.

Returned or canceled checks will be assessed a $35 penalty and the team will be considered suspended until payment is made.
Illegal withdrawal, tournament no shows, and canceled checks will result in forfeiture of all berths awarded.

Hotels: SoftballNation Richmond is working with Outer Zone Sports Housing for 2006. We encourage teams to make their hotel reservations through www.outerzonesports.com  or call them at (800) 374-9310. They will place your team in a hotel near your fields.

Registration: All teams must be registered with SoftballNation in order to participate. Contact your local director if you have questions about registration. Teams must register on-line at www.sportsnation.org 

Deadline: 2 weeks prior to event. If you are entering after the deadline, you should call first to check availability.

Your entry is considered official when your entry fee is received. You will be notified when your entry fee is received.
All teams must: Have Team Insurance, Register with SoftballNation, Bring birth certificates for all players.
